I'm new to dstar as of last October, and through trying to get registered on the Omaha repeater (KD0CGR), have come to find out that there are issues (I don't have any details) that need to be addressed/worked with NEMA. I did notice today on the gateway status page from the columbus repeater, that KD0CGR was last synchronized () over 90 days ago, and is listed in the larger gateway status report I found at http://dsync.dstarusers.org/index.php As of today, it also shows "Gateway configuration error. DSM not installed, dsgwd DNS_ADDR invalid, and/or dsipsvd TRUST_SERVER invalid."

Anyone know current status of getting the Omaha repeater "online", and able to take registrations? Part of the reason I bought a dstar-capable radio was knowing Omaha had a repeater - would hate to think that is no longer (or will be no longer) the case! I'll take any feedback - I'm also "green" to dstar, but willing to learn and contribute if its partly a time/resource issue.

Thanks, and 73!

Oh, and forgot that the status info for KD0CGR was found in the following section of the gateway status page:

"72 Inactive Registered Gateways (subject to deletion) - Thu, 02 Feb 17 20:50:49 +0000"

Hello Bryan, it is not necessary to register with the Nebraska web site. It will work anywhere you can file. Try this one. http://www.bay-net.org/dstarreg.html

I don't know if it will work but worth a try. The registration requirement is just so you can talk thru the internet linking. The Omaha repeater has not been connected to the internet for quite some time.
You can still use the repeater 2m/ 440 but it is not linked anywhere else so you will only have local traffic (seldom).

Thanks, Joel - given I hear little to no local traffic on that repeater, not having it linked kind of puts me out of luck as far as playing with d-star (shame I have the radio!). Anyone know if there are plans to get the Omaha repeater linked again?
